On Monday my eyes were really messed up (I wear contacts). And to top it all off, I had to work that day. For some reason, I could see things clearly, but wherever there was a hint of light it would glare over the person. Kind of how camera's sometimes flash out half of a persons face with light. It was, needless to say, really aggravating. But then something caught my eye. I saw outside the sun glaring off of a car right in my direction. That was the most beautiful thing I'd seen..atleast for that day. It was a big aura of a rainbow. Then I looked up at the ceiling lights, and each round little light was encompassed with a round rainbow. God had shown me the beauty that I normally can't see through a situation that I at first hated.
This really makes me think back to the verse that says we're not fighting in this flesh world, but rather in the spiritual realm. I wonder if in the spiritual realm they can see the rainbows around each light or lamp or sun glare. I bet it's beautiful. I wonder what the wind looks like, or what a breath looks like, or music, or souls. Looking around at my church family, my spiritual family, I can see that beauty in their eyes. It shines through them because of their great love for Jesus. I can't wait till the day when we're all in Heaven in our truer forms. Psalm 34:5 says, "Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame." Even in this fleshy realm I can see that my brothers and sisters are radiant, but how much more are they in the spirit!
God, what else have you yet to show me? To see all of it now would overwhelm me. But Lord, even if I have to go through some trouble and aggravation to see your beauty, like my contacts giving me a headache, or even if its worse than that, I know it'll be worth it to see even a glimpse of You. So Father please take me there. Living with You guiding me is the best adventure I've ever had, and I know that even in the most exciting adventures people get hurt, lost, and broken. But Father I'm willing so please use me. Please take me and lead me to Your beauty.
Though times may seem tough in whatever circumstances your walking in, there is a way out, a way that leads to the greatest joy and peace you'll ever feel. God continues His love to those who know Him (Psalm 36:10). He never stops, though sometimes the dosages get smaller or larger. If you just continue to hold fast to Him, you will reach the next step. The next branch of the adventure. But if you give up you may have to start all over again. I can definitely feel that God is taking me, Tabitha and Jennifir into a whole new and improved relationship with Him. I know on my part that my days of being a toddler in my walk are coming to a close. Praise God! I'm feeling Him in a different way that I ever have before. And I know the same is true for my two blogging sisters =)
"There are heavenly bodies, and there are earthly bodies;
But the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another.
The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another, and the stars another;
and star differs from star in splendor.
"So it will be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body."
1 Corinthians 15:40-44
"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18
"But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation."
2 Timothy 3:14+15
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
Colossians 2:6+7
"A child, although he is an heir, is no different then a slave until he grows up, even though he owns the whole estate."
Galatians 4:1
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
James 1:2-4
